Lead

Lead ore is ore that contains a higher lead content (usually not less than 1%). Lead ore mainly comes from the earth's crust, and the common lead ore varieties are galena, white lead ore, lead alum, etc. These ores usually also contain other impurity elements such as zinc, silver, copper, etc. Lead concentrate refers to ore that contains a high lead content after beneficiation and concentration. Lead concentrate is often an important raw material for extracting and refining lead from lead-bearing ores. Lead concentrates typically contain more than 40% lead, and some high-quality concentrates even contain more than 60% lead. These lead concentrates can be further refined and processed through smelting techniques such as lead smelting to obtain pure lead metals or lead alloys for a variety of industrial and commercial uses.

Changing the Future

1. Lead ore is a corrosion-resistant metal in the chemical industry, which is widely used in the manufacture of pipelines, storage tanks, equipment and additives.

2. The role of lead in cables is to protect the insulation layer of the cable, so that the cable can transmit electricity safely.

3. Lead is an indispensable material for the manufacture of batteries, mainly used as a cathode material for lead-acid batteries and lithium-ion batteries to store energy.

4. Lead ore is a metal that can effectively block radioactive materials, so it is widely used in the protection of radioactive places such as nuclear power plants and hospitals.
